Founded in 2004

Tropigalia began its activity in 2004, with the corporate purpose of distributing FMCG, identifying early on a high potential in the logistics and distribution sector in Mozambique.

Tropigalia has 28th position in the Ranking of the 100 Largest Companies in Mozambique in 2022 (KPMG-MIC). In 18 years, we have evolved into a national group occupying a leading position in the modern FMCG trade, logistics and distribution market.

Brands

Balance sheet financed mainly by equity, with a financial autonomy ratio exceeding 40% in 2021. Financing by foreign capital consists mainly of loans from shareholders committed to the company.

Commitment

The founder of Tropigalia remains the main shareholder. Members of the founding team have relevant stakes in the capital and post-IPO, more than 50% of our workforce also became shareholders.
